Once when I was 5 years, I had a cupcake for dessert, and apparently made quite a mess of it. When my mom got me out of my chair to clean me up, she exclaimed, “You even have crumbs in your bottom!” And those words have followed me from that day to this. Families love to tease, and mine loved to remind me of crumbs in my bottom. It was pretty upsetting to me as a kid- YOU’RE TALKING ABOUT MY BOTTOM!
I’ll turn 50 soon, and I’ve finally decided it’s silly that I still cringe when I hear those words. So, world, I’m taking ownership of them.
What is your crumbs-in-your-bottom moment?
